How did it start? – Pre-shoot consultation & Shoot
On last Saturday (9 June), I had my very first photoshoot. I decided for a studio shoot and have it with my parents. It's been quite some time since we had a family photo - so why not this time?
Before the shoot, we had a consultation where the people at Praeimpact Studios wants to understand what I intend to have from this shoot. I think both parties should mutually agree on what and how they want this entire thing to turn out, so that the outcome is satisfying and beneficial.
Since it's the first, I was pretty nervous. Furthermore, I'm having it with parents and I'm not sure if I will have as much fun as I will have if it's with my close friends. But well, things went naturally when the photographer started to snap photos and the anxiety seemed to have reduced as the time got nearer to the end of the shoot.

I've got my turn to rest and my parents were getting their photos taken. They felt like they were taking their wedding photos again. Ok except the part with no gown or texido etc. They were more loving than I thought they were. Perhaps because they are now more opened to such things.
I was told that it is about finding your "perfect" angle to looking good in front of the camera. Do you know that there was an experiment done - photos of each person's left side and right side were taken? The result was that the left side is more attractive than the right side. But somehow I prefer my right side. I read this from somewhere (if I'm not wrong, it's xinmsn.) that people's eyes become bigger when they looked at the person's left face view. But after knowing about this, I also experiment with my left side.

The people who took some time off their Saturday's evening for this shoot. I really really appreciate it and felt a bit guilty that we couldn't make it in the previous Saturday's afternoon.
Collin and Gel were guiding all of us as to what to do and how to pose for the camera. And Pamela was my "hair stylist", helping me with my hair whenever it got messy. They are really nice people and being patient with us.
What was next? – Post-shoot evaluation & Delivery
Can you believe that they are so efficient that I received both my soft copy proofs and digital prints of the (edited) photos in less than a week from the photoshoot?
On Wednesday (13 June), we met up at my convenience (after my work) for me to select the photos. So sweet of them. I took quite some time, because I really didn't know what to select as they are all so beautifully taken by them. Indeed, they were patient to wait for me to select, even though I kept changing my mind etc.
Gel is doing his work after I have selected the photos I wanted. He wanted to pose for me, for his good sight on my blog. Natural is still best :)
And I met him yesterday (16 June) to collect the photos. I needed my passport photos for my school stuff. (In case you are wondering, yes, they help to take passport photo as well.)

I think everyone should have their own portfolio taken when they are young. These photos will be kept as memories and be reminded of the younger you. Admit it, there are certain poses that you won't be making after you passed a certain age. Why not do it when you are still young? Perhaps it can be a birthday shoot, perhaps the 21st birthday?

This is the one that we took :) You might say 30 minutes is very short for a family? The family who took this are usually more experienced, so they know exactly what they want to get from the photoshoot.
I think everyone should have their family photo taken every 5 to 10 years. Be it an anniversary or just something that you do once in a while. You won't regret when you grow old. And yes, photos will tell you if you have aged since the last taken one.
You can select this package for a session with your friends :) Celebrate an occasion or merely just want to have fun taking professional photos with your friends, especially your closed ones.
