Come the month of October, you get to help a cause without running, but purchasing some sweetie treats. YAY! Having your favourites and helping a cause for a good purpose at the same time... sounds good right?
I chanced upon a post card and immediately search for their page.
This October, use that sweet tooth for good.
Without the heart pumping, any organs in the body would not be able to function, and the person will not be able to live. These kids have a long way to go with their life. I'm sure no one wishes to be born with illness/disability.
Adapted from Sweet Charity:
The NUH Kids’ Heart Fund is a fund parked under the NUHS Fund Limited which addresses the medical needs and concerns of children with congenital heart disease. The fund subsidises the surgery costs for treating financially needy children with this condition.
Congenital heart disease can afflict a child with varying degrees of severity. In many cases, repeated high-risk operations may be required to correct the defect. While surgery is essential for treatment, the cost of the surgery is unaffordable for needy families. The NUH Kids’ Heart Fund aims to help as many children as possible.
If you wish to help these kids and don't actually know how to do it, why not start from here? Order a dessert at the participating outlets and $5 will be donated to NUH Kids' Heart Fund. Why not take this chance to visit that restaurant you always wanted to visit but failed to do so?
