December 2012 edition of VanityTrove came as a surprise. This is my favourite so far! And that was definitely worth more than S$25 (what I paid it for)!

DrGL® Collagen Essence
I've been eyeing on this for quite some time after I heard/saw good reviews about it. But I was thinking about how pricey it was. I don't mind paying for something that really works, but there are risks (financial, physical, social etc), given that I am not sure if it will be suitable for me.
To my surprise, I found this in the box! Now that I don't have to spend $198 for a 30-ml product to see if it suits me. Basically, this 10-ml product costs about $66 or probably even more due to its packaging (the one with lesser quantity usually costs more). Thanks VanityTrove for the love!


Gamila Secret Cleansing Bar in Spearmint Sparkle
I shared the banner on FB to receive this extra treat! I wanted to get the one in Lavender Heaven but I entered the code for Spearmint Sparkle instead. Well, at least it works for me too.
I've been using this for the face quite recently. This is the first time I use bar for body/face. And it is really good for someone who has combination/oily skin for me. I was once told my skin is dry/combination - it produces oil because it is dry. Nevertheless, I shall see what will happen. Hopefully it turns for the better! Thanks VanityTrove too!


Curacle Blackhead Cotton Mask
Another product that I was thinking if I should buy after I heard/saw good reviews too - even though they might be paid, the photos won't lie. This is really really good, at least it works for me. The dirty little stuff really came off after putting the mask for 15 minutes & I saw yellowish thingy on the cotton butt (which I use to clean the nose after mask). I will definitely get this soon.

VanityTrove November 2012: Dream Girl

I'm back with this month's VanityTrove!

What I like about this month's is the Sasa vouchers. I received 3 vouchers with minimum purchase of $5 each (if I'm not wrong). I'm so going to stock up on some necessities.

I always like products that can help minimize pores. I hate mine because they are large and they don't seem to reduce whatever I have tried. Large pores means more dirt will be clogged, resulting in pimples etc :( And I hate blackheads!

Laline Body Cream with Soothing Aloe Vera
As usual, I shared the body cream with my mother. I am a fan of stuff with Alow Vera because of its various benefits.

Yes I finally decided to subscribe to VanityTrove after 2 months. I think partly because of the thrill where I would discover new brands and products that I have never heard and seen before.


I have been diligently posting the box of mixed surprise treats on Instagram.

VENETRIM Vein Reducing Cream
I gave this to my mother immediately upon receiving the trove. She actually has visible veins on her legs, so I suppose it will be good for her. After using it that night, she was telling me how good the sleep was the next day. I asked her again after several uses, she was already loving the product!
The retail-sized product (worth $79) was given in the box, which makes it very worthy, given that I paid $25 for the entire box of items.

I subscribed to my very first VanityTrove box after reading about it from beatricetan.com.



I received it on Sunday. & yes it is delivered by hand anytime from 21st to 25th as long as you subscribed by the 14th prior to the month you subcribed for, ie you have to subsribe by 14th July to receive the August edition.

I suppose if you want to purchase it only after knowing the box's contents, you have to pay $5 extra. In my opinion, paying for the extra defeats the purpose of receiving surprises. Well, it is up to individual.



I believed quite a number of us know about the surprises-in-a-box thing. Well, at first for me, I think I am pretty much used to using my own stuff and relunctant to try new ones. I'm loyal to the brand haha.

What makes me decide to buy my first box? I want to know how it feels like to receive different surprises every month. Well, and expose myself to new brands in the market.

I gave one of the vouchers (SK II) to my colleague after knowing that she is testing on that. As for the other vouchers, I have no intention to use them. Anyone wants? I brought this little thing to work. Previously I don't apply perfume because I have been searching high and low for the right one to suit my age and style.

I'm still thinking whether to subscribe even though I passed the deadline for August edition. Well, I can always wait for the next. Hmm should I continue?
